Welcome to The Texas Association of County Human Resources Professionals (TACHRP) Website

The Texas Association of County Human Resources Professionals was created on May 5, 2005 during the annual County Management Institute.  Several HR Directors/Managers from all over Texas worked for over a year to help bring this organization about, with the help of the Texas Association of Counties.

The primary purpose of this organization is to serve as a source of human resource development and solutions for Texas counties; to provide input on issues relative to human resources and employment law to governing boards, associations, and officials in county, state, and federal government as to how those issues apply to county government; to identify and make available model human resources policies and procedures; to provide quality education offerings to Association members and other county officials and employees and to promote excellence in the field of human resources.
