►  TACHRP Meetings and the CMI

Just a reminder, we will be meeting prior to CMI next week in Austin.  Again I invite you to attend our board meeting.  Your input is greatly appreciated and welcomed.  Following our board meeting, there will be a presentation by Joe Bontke from the EEOC and at 10:30 the TAC HR Roundtable.

I encourage all of you to attend each of these events prior to the kickoff of the CMI.  TACHRP is an organization of county HR professionals, treasurers, auditors, and others responsible for HR in county government.

Looking forward to seeing you at the TACHRP meeting and the CMI.

Additional information that came out of the 2008 CMI HR Roundtable/TACHRP Annual Meeting.

After our discussions during last Wednesdays HR Round Table concerning the 2008 IRS Fringe Benefit update, here is the link below which will take you to the IRS Fringe Benefit Guide.  It will clarify why you need to modify your travel policy to meet the guidelines.  You may want to pass it along to your purchasing department/auditor, too. They will need to modify your Fixed Asset Policy to address cell phones, uniforms and take home vehicles and make adjustments to payroll.
